Aussie animals.

Felix is getting to know lots of aussie animals with thanks to the various care packages and presents from family and friends in Australia.

For his 1st birthday Aunty Kendall and Uncle Dave gave him an 'Australian how to count' bag which he had great fun playing with today.

Felix's favourite animals are the kookaburras, and he didn't quite believe Mummy that the white bird is actually a cockatoo. We'll have to see some in the flesh when we return to Oz for holidays in February.

Felix, what a great excuse to come to our place, there are often 10-20 cockatoo's in the trees when looking out of the kitchen window.

And sometimes we even get a Kookaburra or two in the Palm Tree right outside the window. I suspect they are actually looking to eat our gold fish!

That sounds great Auntie Kim. I can't wait to see all the cockatoos and the pussy cats too.

And Mummy also mentioned that you have a super size Leonardo!!! I can't wait.

Felix, Aunty Ashie is VERY excited that Kookaburra's are your favourite that the moment because there may just be one flying your way for 3rd December :) I am also very excited to hear you like to play with Playdough - I think you will enjoy your second pressie enclosed. I sent it almost a week ago in the hopes that it would arrive in good time. We can't wait to call and sing Happy Birthday on Sunday night!

Aunty Sarah, I received your invitation to Felix's birthday party last night. Maman was really excited to open the envelope and we sat together to read it. I am sorry I won't be able to make it to Paris to celebrate but Maman assured me we would have our own celebration on Sunday. Thank you for the invitation. Love Luka. ps: Interesting to note that Customs opened the envelope before it was delivered - what did they think would fit in there?? Axx

Aunty Ashie, those customs are a shocker! They opened one of my packages that Phil sent back from NYC and took my shoes! They were just (used)diamonte sandals which were a fav for weddings and evenings out on summer nights.

But as Uncle Phil rightly pointed out, they probably thought the diamonte straps were jewels....I suspect in your card they might have been hoping for $$$.

By the way Mummy we didn't get an invite? Is that because we only have a fur family at present? :)

Yes Felix we have a giant sized Leonardo, Giraffee and monkey which you will be welcome to play with when you visit Sydney along with the kitkat bowls! :)

You & Uncle Barrie should have recieved your invite too - although peraps it is still sitting in customs?!?

Carol and Jonno should have one too (hopefully) so remind them to check their mail boxes!!!

Yippeee we received our invite....although we are unable to make it, I thought perhaps I should send the fur family to help celebrate :)

I think we might go climb the harbour bridge this weekend to celebrate Felix's birthday.

The fur family Aunty Kim?

Are you referring to a rather long green tail (ie Dorothy the Dinosaur) or perhaps a Mr Men family?

I'm stumped on a fur family?

So happy to see Felix enjoying his pressie from last year :)

We'll be happy to show you kookaburras and cockatoos when you visit, and we even have bats in OUR back yard!
