Taronga Zoo.

No trip to Sydney would be complete without a ferry ride on Sydney Harbour. And that is exactly what we did on Monday morning en route for Taronga Zoo.

At the Zoo we met Ash and Luka and caught the Sky Safari (Luka's favourite) up to the entrance.

We saw lots of animals including some snakes, the giraffes (with the best view at the Zoo)...

The Chimpanzees...

Some Elephants...

And amazingly enough, Felix even managed to score a turn patting an elephant (with Ernie Dingo)!

And of course being a zoo there were also lots of lions & tigers ...

And Felix's favourite - the gorillas.

What a great day at the zoo!!

Felix and Luke.

Felix has made yet another friend in Sydney, young Luke who is a few weeks younger than Felix.

We visited Luke and his Grandma Kate in Paddington (with Nanny and Bappy) and of course Felix and Luke hit it off instantly.

They had great fun playing with the hose - so Mummy is going to tuck away that idea for summer in Paris.

Nanny & Bappy in Sydney.

Nanny and Bappy joined us in Sydney for the weekend. They were quite surprised how much young Felix had grown in the past 6 months. First stop was an Paddy Bedford exhibition at the MCA. Followed by a leisurely walk around The Rocks area. A nice relaxed Saturday.

Breaky with Milton.

Saturday morning started bright and sparkling with a breaky at Rushcutters Bay with Milton and his folks.

Was a lovely morning and we all enjoyed the sunshine and chats whilst the boys played with the trucks and trains.

And of course with the Sydney sunshine who could help having a great start to the day.

And not a bad backdrop!

Baby Rosie.

On Friday morning we met 9 week old Rosie and her parents Kate and Colin for breakfast in Surry Hills.

Felix was terribly interested in the gorgeous little bundle and for a moment his Thomas the Tank Engine trains had some fierce competition.

How could you resist such a beautiful little girl - and a fellow sagitarius too!!

Congrats Kate and Col!

Daddy's Here!!

After much excitement the day finally arrived when Daddy would arrive in Sydney. Both Felix and Mummy were terribly excited and could hardly contain their excitement. Felix kept asking all day when Daddy would arrive and Mummy explained that after dinner time Aunty Ash would pick us up and take us to the airport to collect Daddy.

When it was time to drive to the airport we looked at al the planes in the sky to see if we could see Daddy's plane. As it was 9pm, and way past Felix's bedtime, Daddy thought young Felix was fast asleep and you can imagine his delight when he walked out at arrivals and was met by Felix who was charging down the arrivals entrance at 100 miles an hour and jumped up into his Daddy's arms. (Mummy has never seen Felix run so fast!)

It was one of those precious moments that Mummy will never forget!

Swings.

There aren't too many swings around the parks in Paris so Felix has been a little tentative about going on a swing.

But today he realised what all the fuss is about and now LOVES swings.

He especially loved going fast and giggled like crazy. What a little speed demon!

Auntie Kim and the Bear!

This weekend we went to Auntie Kim and Uncle Bear's house.

Of course no weekend would be complete without some shopping and luckily Felix did very nicely getting his very own big boy water bottle.

So we wasted no time in heading down to the park to enjoy some sunshine.

The rest of the weekend was lovely and Felix had a great time playing with the puddy cats.

Bondi Beach.

Today was a hot day so Mummy and Felix joined Ash and Luka at North Bondi for a paddle in the kiddie pool.

Felix had a great time wadding around armed with Luka's bucket.

Whilst Luka had a great time exploring the stairs.

But Mummy's were quite happy cooling down in the water too. Delicious!

Sydney Wildlife Zoo.

Today Felix, Nanna and Felix visited the Sydney Wildlife Zoo to see lots of Australian animals.

Felix saw his first real life wallaby with a very large joey, that had escaped his pouch for a moment or two.

And he was even treated to meeting a bearded dragon up nice and close.

And even better he patted his very first snake - and not just a snake but a python.

All in all it was a great day and a great introduction to Australian animals for Felix.

And there is still Taronga Zoo and Australia Zoo to follow. Woo hoo!!!

Saturday Playgroup.

Felix, Nanna and Mummy joined Michelle and Lucy at their house this morning for a Saturday morning playgroup.

Lucky 6 month old Lucy was surrounded by three little boys who had great fun playing together.

And of course like any typical playgroup the morning involved about three too many biscuits for young Felix.

But hey....what are holidays for? Thanks for having us Lucy!

Felix makes friends!

So it seems Felix is nicely settling into life on Crown Street with Nanna Carol.

He was rather chuffed today to pop out onto the balcony and see Nanny's neighbour James on his balcony at the same time.

Felix greeted James with a huge smile and proceeded to do some big waves in James direction. Yes a real Sag in the making!

Cockatoos.

Felix met his first Cockatoo today in Darlinghurst of all places.

Young Felix and Mummy were nice and close and despite this photo Felix was terribly excited.

All the cockatoos gather each afternoon for an afternoon feed just outside the grounds of a local church - thanks for the tip Aunty Rosh!

Luka and Mamacino.

Felix and Mummy joined Ash and Luka at Mamacino this morning so the boys could have some fun playing whilst the Mummies had a nice cup of coffee.

Felix quite enjoyed the lego and especially when he discovered a tower which he quickly declared 'Eiffel Tower'. You can take the boy out of Paris but you can't take Paris out of the boy.

All in all it was a very relaxing morning. If only there was a Mamacino in Paris!
