It begins.

And so it begins, Felix has started wearing his big boy undies. Not all the time but when we are at home we take off his nappies and he gets to wear his brand new underwear (un slip). He is doing pretty well although Mummy is somewhat surprised at how many 'slips' we go through each day with one accident or another. But fingers crossed it won't take too long. Will it?

Ben, Olivia & the Orangerie.

The other weekend we all caught up with Ben, Olivia & their folks at the Orangerie for some afternoon fun (great hat Olivia!).

Felix and Ben quickly claimed someone's skipping rope and had great fun running around & around the grassy area together.

Then after all the great fun with Ben, it was time for playing ball with Olivia and her Mummy.

A lovely afternoon for all (and the Daddies didn't budge once from their sunny spot on the park bench!).

B'Day wishes for Grandad!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDAD!!! Hope you had a lovely day with Granma Jo today. Lots of birthday wishes from Paris from us three!

(Okay so this picture doesn't look anything like anything like Grandad, but Felix liked the picture the best)

Back to it Mummy!

Okay so the natives are getting restless! Yes Chez Felix hasn't been updated for a wee while. Mummy has been rather busy as we are moving at the end of the month and there is lots to prepare for the new apartment. But don't worry Chez Felix is back!!!

Easter Monday!

Another day, another Easter Egg Hunt. This time it was a smaller scale version with some friends from our Playgroup.

Armed with his basket, Felix collected the eggs that had been scattered around for all the little-uns.

Although at one stage in the morning there seemed to be some confusion whether to hold onto the eggs or throw them into the bushes (?#!#?).

But then everyone returned to the task at hand, collecting the easter eggs.

Followed of course by 'polishing off' the chocolate easter eggs ... and thus missing the afternoon nap due to excess sugar consumption! C'est la vie.

"April in Paris".

Easter Sunday afternoon we set off for Parc Montsouris to enjoy some beautiful April sunshine.

The grass in Paris doesn't actually officially open until the 15th April and until that time you are only allowed on special areas of grass.

Felix found out the hard way when he was whistled off the grass and told to keep off by the warden. Felix promptly burst into tears!

But we found some grass to sit on (with the rest of Paris) and enjoyed the spectacular day!

After his sandwich and some cuddles with Mummy (who was feeling a bit off colour), Felix made some new friends...

Had some fun with Daddy...

Did some running...

And all to the tunes of Daddy singing "April in Paris".

Joyeuses Pâques!

Happy Easter everybody!

Overnight the Easter Bunny visited Felix, Mummy and Daddy bringing some yummy chocolate easter eggs (although he seems to have left his ears and nose!).

Felix was pretty chuffed to have some more chocolate although it was a battle of the wills to get him to have his breakfast first.

"No, chocolate first Mummy!"

Easter Egg Hunts.

Today we met up with Isabella to do an Easter Egg Hunt at the grounds of the Museé de la Mode (with 50,000 other munchkins).

Felix quickly understood the idea of hunting for eggs (last year hunt was a catastrophe).

And after finding all the eggs of course one eats all the eggs ... and then the sugar rush kicks in!!

But hey it is Easter after all isn't it!

Happy Easter!

Life's good!

It's been a good week for Felix.

He is sleeping
nicely again, he's been catching up with old friends and enjoying the sunny Paris weather.

And of course enjoying good old Australian sultanas! Yum-mee!

Thongs.

Okay so Australia has obviously rubbed on on Felix as he now insists on wearing his thongs around the apartment.

He even wanted to wear them to the garderie the other day even though Mummy explained that his feet would get rather cold.

Come on summer hurry up, so Felix can wear his havaianas!!

Bois de Vincennes.

On Sunday we went for a picnic with Iris and her family to Bois de Vincennes to enjoy some spring sunshine (a typical Sydney winters day!).

We sat down to a feast of all kinds of goodies and of course Felix enjoyed spending some time with his good friend Iris.

And Felix wasted no time in trying to smooch her (although he may have to work a little on his embracing technique).

But then of course it was back to the football.

(Or was it?)

Felix and Iris did lots of running around together.

And then Martha and Felix played with the super size pink ball (oh the joy of older sisters!).

Too much fun for a little boy.

And after such a gorgeous afternoon Felix was exhausted and had his second night of sleeping through until 7.15am. Now if only Mummy could do it!

Thanks for a great afternoon Iris, Martha, Flo and Pascale!

Bike Monster.

Felix has now developed quite an interest for Daddy's very stylish grass covered scooter that he zips around Paris. Last night Felix insisted on having a sit on the bike. You can just imagine Felix's joy when Daddy started the engine! Woo hoo!

Felix, Thomas and Friends.

Whilst we were in Australia, Felix developed quite an interest in Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends (with thanks to Daddy and Aunty Kim).

He now has quite a little collection. Not to mention Curious George and his Fire Truck (ABC Kids).

In addition to Thomas, Big City Engline, Molly and James, he also has George the Steam Roller.

And yes, with all these trains he a very happy two year old.
