Dinosaurs & Daddy.

Felix has a favourite book to read with Daddy - How do Dinosaurs say Good Night?

Usually it is a special 'Daddy only' book, and Felix always chooses something else to read with Mummy.

But the other night Felix decided he wanted to read the story all by himself, with roaring sound effects and everything.

And before Daddy knew it, the book was "All finished" (Felix's current catch phrase).

Night night Felix!*

*A special thanks to Daddy for the wonderful photos!

Another Addict.

So it seems Felix is taking a leaf out of Mummy's book and is developing quite an interest in taking photos.

He had great fun playing around with the camera this afternoon...

Although he couldn't quite get his head (or fingers) around exactly how it worked.

But as usual, through trial and error, Felix mastered how to turn it on.

And was quite chuffed with himself.

Now, how do we get the camera back??

Bathtime smiles.

There is no picking that 5 minutes before this beautifully happy bath shot, young Felix was screaming "No bath Mummy, No bath, No bath.
.."

But as usual once he started playing with his bath toys he was quite happily enjoying himself.

With all kinds of little games ... "Water gone!"

And he was concentrating VERY hard whilst he was making lots of splashes (don't bite your tongue off Felix!!).

And of course when it was time to get out of the bath .... guess what? More protests! You can never win with a toddler, can you?

La Galette des Rois.

Felix made his first Crown yesterday to celebrate the Galette season in France.

It is a very special silver one, which just happens to match his new grey hoodie from London.

Felix had great fun taking the Crown off...

And then putting it on again...

(With a quick check in the mirror to make sure it was sitting properly.)

Ah yes, perfectly straight Felix (he is a bit particular about certain things).

But then before Mummy knew it the Crown was tossed on the floor.

What now Mummy?

Still exhausted!

Young Felix is still exhausted after our four day trip to London. We all had a particularly bad night on Friday and M&D spent most of the night awake consoling a feverish Felix.

Mummy and Daddy thought it was his just his cold ... alas Mummy saw the second last molar coming through in the mouth tonight. Whoops!

TATE Modern.

Saturday morning Felix, Mummy and Daddy went to the Tate Modern to catch up with some friends - Antoinette, Allan and Adrian.

Everyone was very keen to experience the current Carsten Höller exhibition - five-storey high slides.

And if you look really carefully you can just see Daddy zipping down really fast (or is that Adrian, Allan, Antoinette or Mummy?).

Unfortunately Felix was a little too short to go on the smaller slides but he didn't mind waiting whilst everyone else had a turn.

After all the excitement of the slides & some wandering in the gallery, we decided to stop for some lunch.

Felix decided to create some contemporary art of his own with some crayons,

and with his lunch of spaghetti and meatballs.

After a final look at the Thames it was time to bid our farewells to London and to head back to the Eurostar and to Paris.

At which point Felix decided it was the perfect time for a nice loooong nap - the perfect travel companion!

See you next time London!

The V&A.

Mummy and Felix set off for the V&A Museum of Childhood on Friday and young Felix was quite chuffed to be catching the tube like a big boy.

When they arrived Felix was thrilled to hear all the other children at the museum and immediately raced around every nook and cranny.

There were some great interactive displays ...

Fabulous old toys to look at ...

Different textures to feel ...

And best of all a Miffy exhibition.

And even some Miffy costumes to wear!

And even though Mummy was dragged around everywhere (yes literally), she actually had a good time too.

Felix was exhausted afterwards and had a lovely long 2 hour sleep in his stroller.

All-in-all a very sucessful outting.

London Days.

Mummy and Felix hit the streets of London yesterday, although with winds of 70 mph and rain it was a bit difficult to keep our smiles at times.

So after a bit of shopping in the morning and a lunch with Antoinette, we decided to stop into a cafe for a smoothie and a gâteau.

Being the true sag that he is Felix charmed the staff and before Mummy knew it, all of the staff were waving at him from behind the counter.

Everyone in the cafe, including Mummy, was in fits of giggles.

He certainly isn't shy our Felix!

Fast Train.

Felix was so excited about catching the fast train to London that he decided to miss his afternoon nap on Wednesday (to Mummy's horror).

But he made sure he packed lots of things into his bag to entertain himself on the train (including lots of things to eat).

Felix was pretty impressed with the Eurostar and found it lots of fun.

And luckily for both Daddy and for Mummy he was a very good little boy on the train.

Phew ... as it can be real hit and miss travellling with toddlers!
